Bird Watching

Aberlady Bay - Bird Watching

With over 250 species on its list, Aberlady is undoubtedly one of Scotland's and Britains finest birding sites. The area has been declared a Grade One Site of Special Scientific Interest on ornithological, geological and botanical grounds. The habitats consist of extensive mudflats of the Peffer Burn estuary, an adjoining saltmarsh, freshwater marsh, freshwater pools, dunes, woodland and extensive Sea Buckthorn.

Duck's at Kilspindie House work closely with Aberlady Bird Sanctuary, North Berwick Seabird Centre and the SOC, and will make sure that your bird watching holiday is a promised fantastic adverture. We can organise guided walks and lectures for parties (min 4 people)

Hogmanay

Seventy saw in 2010 with dinner and dancing to Obsession at Ducks in Aberlady.  We sold out for our two night Hogmanay package (£150pp) but many came for the dinner and dancing at an amazing price of £60 per head.

Obsession also played in the afternoon of the 1st.  Thanks to all of you who came and created a fantastic atmosphere over the two days.  A very big thak you from me to both Ros Sloan and Johhny Dunbar who ran the front of house and kitchen magnificently.

We will be doing the same again next year and will be taking bookings as of January the 11th.   Obsession's web site.
